Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information Make Hijrah collects when you use makehijrah.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the whole site, including the guides, country pages, videos, events and forms.

Who we are

Make Hijrah runs makehijrah.com and the Make Hijrah YouTube channels. The site is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. For any privacy question, contact us at info@makehijrah.com.

What we collect

Guide and country report requests. When you ask for a free guide or a country report, we collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We send these to our mailing system (the Make Hijrah EMS), which adds you to our list and sends you the guide or report.

Contact form. When you send a message through the contact page, we collect your name, email address, the message, and the country you are considering if you give one. Your message goes to our team inbox. We also add your name, email address and country to our mailing list, with a note that you came through the contact form.

Mailing list. When you join our mailing list from a story page, we collect your email address and add it to our mailing system (the Make Hijrah EMS) with a note that you joined from the website.

Spam protection. The contact form asks a simple sum question to filter out automated submissions. We do not keep your answer after it is checked.

Basic technical information. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles every visit to the site and may keep standard server records, such as the time of a request, the page requested and an IP address, to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and tracking. The website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Videos. Our videos play through YouTube. When a video plays, YouTube and Google may set cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies.

Other services. Some links take you to other websites, such as the Hijrah Plan, the consultation booking site and the Hijrah Plan events pages. Their privacy policies apply once you are there.

How we use it

We use your information to send the guide or report you asked for, to reply to your message, to send you the emails you have subscribed to, and to keep the site secure and working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run the site and our emails:

  • Make Hijrah EMS, which stores our mailing list and delivers guides.
  • Mandrill, which delivers the emails from our contact form to our team.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site.
  • YouTube and Google, for embedded videos.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

Emails and unsubscribing

You can stop receiving our emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in them, or by writing to info@makehijrah.com. We keep a record that you unsubscribed so that we do not email you again by mistake.

How long we keep it

We keep your mailing list details for as long as you remain subscribed. Messages sent through the contact form are kept in our team inbox for [retention period]. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Our service keys are kept on our servers and are never shown in the browser. No system is completely secure, so please think about what you share by email.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop using it, or withdraw your consent to our emails. Write to info@makehijrah.com. We will reply within [response time]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law.

Children

The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
