Our Vision Our vision is to create a dynamic, inclusive and supportive hijrah community that empowers Muslims around the world to explore and experience the beauty of the Muslim world, while staying true to their values and beliefs. We strive to be the go-to resource for Muslim travelers, offering personalized, relevant and comprehensive travel information and services that inspire and enable them to confidently and comfortably discover new cultures, destinations and experiences.
Why are you doing this project?
We want to help you in the same way that we were helped on our own spiritual journey towards hijrah, and we hope that this platform will be a source of ongoing blessings and reward with Allah.
Our journey began with a strong desire and a clear intention to seek out Islamic knowledge and make positive changes in our lives. When we first started on this path 22 years ago, we were young, married, and had three small children. We turned to friends who had made similar journeys for guidance and support, and when an unexpected opportunity arose a few years later, Allah opened up a path for us to follow.
With the help of a generous Muslim brother, we were able to travel to the Muslim world and begin our studies. The experience was transformative, as we were surrounded by fellow Muslims and immersed in the beauty of the Quraan and the daily call to prayer.
We learned that the key to surviving in a new place is to have patience, trust in Allah, and the support of a strong community. We hope that Make Hijrah will be a valuable resource and supportive community for you as you embark on your own journey towards personal growth and spiritual enlightenment.
